Charybdis Vaccines, Messina
Charybdis Vaccines is a spin-off of the University of Messina, founded in 2011 by a group of researchers from this University with experience in vaccine discovery, testing and development. This company is also active in other fields of biotechnology, such as proteomics, protein expression and construction of phage-displayed libraries.
Charybdis Vaccines was born from the desire of its founders to provide pharmaceutical companies with timely, top quality assistance and services in vaccine research and development.
Charybdis focuses on the discovery and testing of protective antigens and adjuvants in in vivo and in vitro models. Scientists at Charybdis have long standing expertise in immunology (particularly in innate immunity), microbiology and molecular biology.
